City cycling made easy

What is it all about?

Pedal for 21 days for more cycling promotion, climate protection and quality of life! Collect kilometers for your team and the municipality of Uelsen! Whether you are cycling for business or pleasure, on vacation or at the weekend - every kilometer counts!

Who can take part?

Everyone who lives in our municipality, goes to school or kindergarten, works or is a member of one of our clubs. In other words, everyone from Uels! It doesn't matter whether you are a cyclist, commuter or occasional cyclist

How can I take part?

It's easy: at www.stadtradeln.de/sg-uelsen you can either set up a new team or join an existing team. Then simply enter the kilometers ridden or track them in the CITY CYCLING app and you're in. If you don't have an internet connection, you can enter the kilometers in the attached cycling log and hand it in at Uelsen Touristik. Registration is still possible after the start of the campaign period!

Who will win?

At the end of the campaign period, there will be a general prize draw among all participants. Prizes will also be awarded for the best team and the best individual cyclist as well as a special prize for the best school class and the best college. Attractive main prizes will be raffled off at district level.

In Uelsen, guided bike tours will be offered again during the campaign period. We would like to present these to you here. Keep checking back, as new tours are being added all the time

The tour guides and organizers assume no liability for any personal injury or damage to property. Participation is at your own risk. We recommend a bicycle helmet and high-visibility clothing (ideally a high-visibility vest).

  • Friday, September 05, 6 p.m.: ARCHAEOLOGICAL TOUR

    Start: Old Town Hall in Uelsen
    Registration: not required

  • Sunday, September 7, 10:15 a.m.: MÜHLENTOUR

    Start: Old Town Hall in Uelsen
    Registration: not required
    The tour covers approx. 30 km along various mills in the Niedergrafschaft region. The tour is jointly organized by VVV Uelsen and Uelsen Touristik.

  • Friday, September 12, 2 p.m.: ASC GW 49 e.V. bike tour.

    Start: Schützenfestplatz Uelsen

    Registration: not required

    The tour is approx. 25 to 30 km long. A coffee break is planned on the way (at your own expense). You will be back in Uelsen at around 5.30 pm

  • Saturday, September 13, 2 p.m.: Around Springendal

    Start: parking lot behind the new town hall
    Registration: not required
    incl. 45-minute break at "Hoeve van Springendal" (coffee and cake at own expense if desired)
    Return to Uelsen at approx. 5.30 p.m.; tour length approx. 36 km

  • Monday, September 15, 3 p.m.: Bicycle tour of the Seniors' Advisory Council

    Start: Neues Rathaus in Uelsen, Itterbecker Str. 11
    Registration: not required
    The Seniors' Advisory Council of the joint municipality of Uelsen invites you to a leisurely bike tour. You will cycle approx. 35 km.

  • Thursday, September 18, 1:30 p.m.: HUT TOUR

    Start: parking lot behind the new town hall
    Registration: at Uelsen Touristik on 05942/209-29 or at touristik@uelsen.de; costs for the tour are €12.00 (incl. coffee and cake and snack)
    Three huts in the joint municipality of Uelsen are visited.
    Return to Uelsen at approx. 6.15 p.m.; tour length approx. 40 km

  • Friday, September 19, 3 p.m.: CHILDREN'S RALLY

    Start: Neues Rathaus, Itterbecker Str. 11
    Registration: possible from the beginning of September at uelsen.feripro.de
    For kids and young people aged 10 and over (approx. 15 km)
    Experience an exciting rally through and around Uelsen by bike with lots of surprises
    Finish at the barbecue area with some refreshments
    The tour is organized by the youth club of the municipality of Uelsen in cooperation with Uelsen Touristik

  • Saturday, September 20, 2 p.m.: SOVD BIKE TOUR

    Start: DRK-Heim in Uelsen
    Registration: not necessary
    The local branch of the German Social Association (SoVD) in Uelsen invites interested cyclists and nature lovers to take part in a guided cycle tour. The route is around 25 kilometers long and leads along a scenic route through Niedergrafschaft and the border region. There will also be a stop for a coffee break halfway along the route.

  • Sunday, September 21, 2 p.m.: CHURCH TOUR

    Start: Catholic church in Uelsen
    Registration: not necessary
    This tour is organized by the Catholic parish. In the course of the tour, various Catholic churches in the Niedergrafschaft are visited. The tour length is approx. 40 km.

  • Thursday, September 25, 6 p.m.: CITIZEN TOUR

    Start: Neues Rathaus, Itterbecker Str. 11
    Registration: not necessary
    At the end of the city bike ride, the mayor of the municipality, Hajo Bosch, invites you to a bike ride with a finish and some barbecue sausages at the barbecue area. The tour will be approx. 25 km long.
