Mountain Maple

The sycamore maple (Acer pseudoplatanus) is a large, sturdy, deciduous tree with a broad, rounded crown that can grow to a height of 30 to 40 meters.

It is characterized by its large, hand-shaped leaves with deep notches, yellow-green flowers in hanging panicles in the spring, and winged seeds (screw flies) that turn bright yellow in the fall.

The sycamore maple is of great ecological importance because it is a rich source of nectar and pollen for bees. The tree produces high-quality wood that is suitable for furniture, interior design, and musical instruments, including string instruments.
