Mountain Elm

The mountain elm (Ulmus glabra) is a large, sturdy deciduous tree with a broad, rounded crown that grows up to 40 meters tall.

The elm has rough (sandpaper-like), asymmetrical leaves that are 10 to 15 centimeters long and turn golden yellow in the fall.

Elm wood is used as a high-quality material for furniture, musical instruments, and veneers.
