At the request of the municipality of Wilsum, the outdoor facilities around the sports hall on Echteler Straße are being extensively redesigned. The work is being carried out by the joint municipality of Uelsen. The aim of the measure is to improve the traffic routing and parking situation, increase accessibility and develop the areas in an ecologically sensible way.
What is being implemented?
Reorganization and renewal of the parking areas
Paving work on the roadway, parking spaces, footpaths and ramps
Construction of a low-barrier ramp at the emergency exit
Creation of a rainwater infiltration trough
Renewal and extension of the drainage pipes
Planting of six wild pears and a copper beech hedge
Installation of fall protection on the angled retaining walls
A total of around 1,040 m² of paved areas will be newly created or adapted. Construction work is scheduled for the period from March to the end of April.
Participation of the municipality of Wilsum
The municipality of Wilsum is contributing 25% of the total costs. The remaining funds are borne by the joint municipality of Uelsen.
