Traditional techniques, historic tractors, and a good cause: On Saturday, September 26, the Oldtimerclub Niedergrafschaft e. V. will once again hold its traditional corn harvest. Anyone interested is cordially invited to come watch this special harvest event.
The event begins around 9 a.m. in the fields on Linnenbachweg near Baumann. As in previous years, the corn won’t be harvested using modern farming equipment: Members of the vintage tractor club will arrive with their historic tractors and old corn choppers. The chopped corn will then be transported on small trailers to the Blekker therapeutic farm.
There, the corn is processed into silage and serves as feed for the farm’s animals during the winter months. The Niedergrafschaft Classic Car Club has been supporting the Blekker Farm for several years now and provides the corn for the animals.
Anyone who would like to see how the corn harvest works using historic equipment is welcome to join us on Saturday. The members of the vintage vehicle club look forward to welcoming interested spectators.
