On Sunday, June 21, 2026, the exhibition “Twee Lânden, Eene Vörtied” will open at the Bronzezeithof Uelsen . The focus is on a moraine ridge that stretches from Ootmarsum to Wilsum—formed by the ice long before any national border existed.
The exhibition is organized around the four elements: earth, water, fire, and wind. Layer by layer, it reveals what this landscape holds within: geological forces, vanished watercourses, burial mounds on the hilltops, and trade routes across the ridges. Those who set out on this journey travel back to a time when ice knew no boundaries—and the landscape still knows none to this day.
The opening will take place on the summer solstice. Doors open at 1:30 p.m.; the program begins at 2:00 p.m. and ends around 3:30 p.m.
Anyone interested is cordially invited.
"Twee Lânden, Eene Vörtied " is a project by Werkend Landschap and COALstudio, made possible by Landschap Overijssel, the Stimuleringsfonds Creatieve Industrie, the municipalities of Dinkelland, Tubbergen, and Grafschaft Bentheim, and the Heimatverein Grafschaft Bentheim.
