Living Archaeology Festival at the Bronze Age Farm in Uelsen

On the weekend of July 18 and 19, 2026, the Bronze Age Farm in Uelsen will once again host the “Festival of Living Archaeology.” Visitors can look forward to a varied program that offers fascinating insights into life some 3,000 years ago.

Once a year, the Bronze Age Farm transforms into a vibrant historical site: Actors from out of town enrich the festival with authentic demonstrations and bring past eras—from the Stone Age to the Early Middle Ages—to life. Crafts, music, and bronze casting take center stage, as does the everyday life of our ancestors.

The festival is geared especially toward families and invites visitors to explore and try new things through numerous hands-on activities. Guests of all ages can experience history up close and get involved themselves. A special highlight is the freshly baked bread from the traditional clay oven.

The event will take place on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Bronze Age Farm looks forward to welcoming many visitors who would like to embark on an exciting journey back in time.
